The Collateral Damage Project

The Collateral Damage Project is a collection of photographs telling a rarely heard story: the plight of family members and children of former sex offenders.

We are men, women, and children. We are seniors, baby boomers, young people and infants. We are here because for too long, our voices have been ignored and our rights have been trampled. You may not agree with our decisions, lives, or the people we love, but we challenge everyone to think: is this truly enough grounds to deny us the basic right to feel safe with our families in our own homes?

We make no excuses for the mistakes of our loved ones and join society in an honest, effective fight to end sexual abuse. And we want society to know that hurting us isn't part of the solution. ..Source.. by Shana Rowen
